Todome wasa - Signature Traditional Shotokan Karate Technique - Gyaku-zuki (gya-koo zoo-key)

Daily practice on a makiwara is essential to developing maximum connection. Correct alignment is crucial for obtaining maximum efficiency, smooth transition from start to finish, and delivering maximum kime. Correct alignment and connection is necessary in strengthening the body in a healthy way. Incorrect alignment can hurt the body. Students use these photos to study and correct all of your techniques. Study these photos to identify what needs to be corrected. When hitting the makiwara go easy at first, then over time as you adjust your alignment and fine tune your alignment, then you can increase the intensity.
